This requires that the user has the device set up to be able to play midi files. (see below) The user can also use their pdf viewing program to search for text throughout the book. Sound Files =========== Two types of sound files have been provided, namely, mp3 files and midi files. Both file types require an appropriate program to be able to play them. Most devices have a program which will play mp3 files. Some devices are able to play midi files. For most devices there are free applications available for download over the Internet which will play midi files. Some examples are listed below: WinX - Windows Media Player (normally preloaded with WinX) Iphone - Midi Opener (free from Appstore) Mac - Midi and Music XML Player; Garage Band (you may need to change the default program association for the *.mid file type.) Scores ====== The scores were created with Musescore Ver 3.3.3.8992, Revision 57d770e. At the time of writing of this document, Musescore is an excellent program freely downloadable over the internet. Formatting was done through a global style setting rather than on an individual basis. The same "style" has been used for all Format A songs. Another "style" has been used for all Format B songs. The only modification to the style settings was in the parameter. This was reduced slightly in some instances. Images were imbedded in some Musescore files where there was space and images available. An additional page was added to some songs so as to ensure that all double paged songs appeared on facing pages rather than require a user to turn a page mid song. All scores have been exported as an MXL file which is importable into most music editing programs.
