Kanding Love Song
Composed in the mid 1930s by Li Yi-Ruo from Xuanhan (Sichuan) this song and tune is typical of early Chinese folk music and today Chinese learn it about age eight. It is inserted here as a tribute to the Chinese miners of Bendigo for whom no written musical record remains today. |
