This is the March VFMC Zoom dance. The theme for the evening will be "Saints days dances". Zoom virtual meeting | 17th April 2021 2.00pm Featuring: The Billabong Band The Billabong Band is the Victorian Folk Music Club's own performance group and is probably the longest established band in Australia playing traditional music for Bush / Colonial dances and for concerts. The line-up is variable and depends on which musicians are available at the time. VFMC children's bush dance on the third Saturday of each month during school terms. Dances are called and these events are tailored to suit school age children. A different band is featured each month. Parents or guardians are welcome attend and to participate in the fun. Future VFMC Dance Events
Corona Virus Arrangements
VFMC are currently working towards a safe return to face-to-face dance events
subject to current Government restrictions and our
Covid safe plan
. The first
dance back at the hall is planned for Saturday 6th March 2021, but please monitor
this web site for current status. A summary of the restrictions is:
- Admission is limited to advance purchase ticket holders.
- Masks must be worn at all times.
- Social distancing must be maintained while not dancing.
- Hand sanitiser must be used upon arrival and after every dance.
- Use only one seat, and do not change seats during the evening.
- No hugging or kissing, and depart promptly after the dance.
But you can still dance! Dance convenor Jane has organised dances which can be
be done at home using a Zoom Connection. From Saturday 1st August, at 7.30 pm,
VFMC will be conducting on-line bush dance sessions
twice a month using Zoom.
