The VFMC runs a session on Tuesday evenings (except the second Tuesday of the month which is CONCERT night).
The VFMC regrets that due to the covid-19 pandemic all club activities including the Tuesday music sessions have been suspended for the forseeable future. Please monitor this web site for our announcement that activities will be resuming.
7.30 Australian Folk Songs; 8.00 - 10.15 supportive round-robin session caters for all instruments and skill levels. Enjoy singing, playing, reciting, performing, yarns, workshops etc. on the first and third week. Currently we are trialling the fourth Tuesdays as all-in round-robin tune and dance set playing and group singing. It's a great way to pick up new material for your repertoire and to play with like-minded enthusiasts. All welcome. $5 members, $6 non members, kids free. The venue is Ringwood East Community Hall, Knaith Rd. Reserve.

Fireside Fiddlers are a group devoted to by-ear playing of collected traditional Australian tunes. They meet on Monday evenings at 8pm in Melbourne's Eastern suburbs.

The Club has a band called The Billabong Band which may be booked for dances and engagements. Busking, community functions and other performing opportunities often arise for VFMC members to participate in.
