What do we collect?
The VFMC maintains, in accordance with its rules of conduct, a membership register containing names and addresses, membership type and status, the start and end dates of membership, and other information that may be pertinent to a person’s membership as deemed necessary by the committee. The VFMC Constitution is based on and closely aligned with the Australian Associations Incorporation Reform Act, 2012, and is available on our website.
Who has access to the register?
The register is held by the Secretary (delegated to the appointed Membership Officer of the Committee). As is dictated by the Constitution, the names (only) of members may be revealed to other members upon request to the committee. Name and address information is made available to committee members and office bearers responsible for distribution of the club magazine and club correspondence or as required to carry out the business of the committee or club.
What don’t we collect?
The VFMC does not collect or retain credit card information from members or guests, although that information may be collected by service providers such as Square or Humanitix in the course of providing payment collection or booking services to the VFMC and is managed in accordance with their respective privacy policies. The VFMC does not collect any information considered as Sensitive Information, as defined in the Privacy Act.
What we won’t do with your information?
The VFMC will never reveal member information to other persons or bodies unless permitted by the rules or required by law.
What are our service providers' Privacy Policies?
The VFMC uses the Humanitix online ticketing system for access to events such as concerts and sessions, and the Square transaction system and terminals for accepting payments via credit card at our events. Their privacy policies are available for inspection on their respective websites as follows:
