WATTLE DAY Celebration

Saturday 7th September 2024

Wattle Day is a day to celebrate all things Australian. To stimulate an interest in music the Victorian Folk Music Club inc is presenting a day of music related workshops and sessions on Saturday 7th September. Each workshop lasts an hour and you can attend as many as you like.

A small charge of $10 for the whole day will help us cover costs for printing and data.

Separate charge of $10/$12 applies for the evening dance - see below.

Sea Shanty Singalong with Tony O'Neil and friends

Tony and the Enterprie Shanty Band will lead us all in singing traditional Maritime work songs.

Enjoy a play-along with Joan and Ray of music from the British Isles and Australia; bring your instrument or just sit and listen if you prefer

Premier Vocal Workshop with Suzette Herft

Members will be familiar with guest singer Suzette Herft’s delightful voice; she will help you discover the joy in connecting with your voice!

Fiddle session with Regina McDonald

Bill and Ellen take us on a fascinating look at the rhythms and styles of waltzes around the world.

Blackboard Concert

For anyone, just put your name on the board at lunchtime and you’re in. A great opportunity to put your newly gained knowledge on show and get performing confidence in front of an audience.

7.30pm- 10.30pm
In the evening The Brumbies Bush Band will host the monthly Family Bush Dance. The Bush Dance admission is $10 members, $12 general, kids free
